The following card adjustments will implemented starting after maintenance on October 9th, 2020.

Before they are implemented, we would like to inform you of these changes, as well as give you an idea of the thought process behind them.

■Reasons for Card Changes

Upon examining the data for the top-ranking players in the most recent Rank Matches and RANKING SEASON: MASQUERADE, we found that 39.5% of these players were using a Mask-centered Poseido deck with the Force of Ascension – Pegasus and the Force of Rebirth – Phoenix. The success rate of that deck was 59% when the player went first and 60% when the player went second.

Using the [When Boosted] and [When Morphed] effect to put Orléan – Monstrous Bird into the Active State allowed for consecutive attacks during the mid-game and late-game stages, a combination that was exceptionally advantageous. This advantage was increased further by the added effect of Mechanical Attaché, allowing the combination to dominate the meta.

 

After reviewing this information, it was decided that the above changes were necessary to balance out the game.

 

The following decks also had a high usage rate.

・Nation of Forests Demete Mask Deck
Usage: 19.4%, First-Turn Victory: 50%, Second-Turn Victory: 53%

・Nation of Machines Machinas Mask Deck
Usage: 9.4%, First-Turn Victory: 41%, Second-Turn Victory: 44%

 

These decks used many cards from the EXCODE:04 HEROIC MASQUERADE Card Pack. After evaluating their usage and win rates, it was decided that any changes to those cards’ effects are currently unnecessary.

 

We will also be observing the meta and evaluating other card abilities after the new PACK CODE: 05 GLORY is released on October 5th. If any other card adjustments are deemed necessary, we will announce those adjustments in the future.

■Regarding Spirits and Premium Chips when Breaking Cards

Changes will be made to the number of Spirits you receive when breaking the cards that have been affected by these card adjustments.
These changes will take place between October 9th after maintenance until November 5th. Afterward, the number of Spirits will return to normal.

 

When Breaking Orléan – Monstrous Bird:

Normal Card

Spirits x250 → Spirits x800

When Breaking Mechanical Attaché:

Normal Card

Spirits x50 → Spirits x200

 

When Breaking Premium Cards, you will receive the Spirits mentioned above and Premium Chips x20.

■Future Plans

The Zenonzard team will continue to analyze the match data we receive as we strive to create a more enjoyable meta for every user. As a result, we will be making adjustments to cards periodically.

 

For these adjustments, we will be performing careful evaluations of your much-valued opinions and the data that we retrieve from matches. This will help us as we continue to work toward an optimized experience.
